Decisions about Iowa’s public schools are made in three places: the Legislature, state agencies like the Department of Education, and school boards. Their records are public but scattered across dozens of websites and PDF agendas. We collect them in one place, keep the original documents, and link each decision to the people who make it.
What we publish
Bills and votes from the Iowa Legislature, the administrative rules that put new laws into practice, meeting agendas and minutes from school boards, and contact details for the officials responsible. Records are shown as filed. Where we take a position on what a measure means for public schools, it is labeled “Our read” and explained.
