Lets school district and city employees join state health plan

Allows employees and elected officials of school districts, cities, counties and community colleges who belong to the Iowa public employees' retirement system to buy coverage through the state employee health plan. Employers pay the state premiums plus a monthly administrative fee, and the state must report on the program each year.

A bill for an act relating to health care coverage of certain nonstate public employees and officials under the state health insurance plan, providing fees, making appropriations, and including effective date provisions.
