HF 2246

Limits continuing education to job-related requirements for licensed professionals

The bill says continuing education for licensed professions must relate directly to the work, and it lets some licensed practitioners with long experience and advanced degrees skip renewal. It also removes the requirement that Iowa lawyers attend an ABA-accredited law school before sitting for the bar exam.

Official title
