Lets school districts jointly buy health and life insurance with cities

The bill lets school boards join with cities and counties under Iowa's intergovernmental agreement law to buy group health, hospital, medical, or life insurance together. Currently they may only partner with other school districts and area education agencies for this purpose.

A bill for an act authorizing school districts to enter into agreements with cities and counties for the purpose of jointly procuring a group health insurance plan, nonprofit group hospital service plan, nonprofit group medical service plan, or group life insurance plan.
