Changes timing of paid parental leave for state employees The bill changes a state law on paid leave for state employees who take federal family leave for a birth or adoption. Paid leave is provided only if the leave is taken within twelve months after the birth or adoption. It does not directly affect K-12 schools, students, or teachers.
Official title A bill for an act relating to paid parental leave for state employees, and including effective date provisions. (Formerly HSB 579.) Effective date: 04/30/2026.
