Lets districts spend voucher-student teacher funds on any general purpose This bill lets school districts use certain state funds tied to students in the education savings account program for any general school expense. Those funds were previously restricted to teacher pay, professional development and teacher leadership. The change applies to budget years starting July 1, 2026.
Official title A bill for an act permitting school districts to use certain categorical funds generated from pupils participating in the education savings account program for any school general fund purpose.(Formerly HF 2393.)
