HSB 512

Eliminates chauffeur's instruction permits and modernizes DOT records and renewals

The bill removes the chauffeur's instruction permit and requires accident reports to be filed electronically. It also lets people renew or replace IDs online, replaces county vehicle records with a state system, and limits DOT use of email and phone contact details. Schools are not directly affected, though school bus drivers may be affected by the permit change.
