Allows guns in locked private vehicles in some public parking lots Lets people keep weapons locked out of sight in private cars parked in state, county, city, or township lots, if otherwise lawful. Also bars state foster care rules from banning firearms in vehicles that transport foster children, and it doubles fines for gun or weapon offenses near schools and public parks.
Official title A bill for an act relating to the carrying, transportation, and possession of weapons, and including effective date provisions.
