SSB 3049
Expands career education, community college credit transfer, and summer classes
The bill changes several career education rules: career academies must include at least one unit from a qualifying course, and community college credits, including career and technical credits, must transfer to state universities. It also requires the state to fund summer college classes for high school students and expands career planning discussions about earning college credit.
