Caps indirect costs on state-funded grants at 5 percent
Limits indirect costs charged to state-funded grants to 5 percent of the total grant amount for grants awarded or amended after July 1, 2026. Grantees, including school districts and other recipients, must separately budget indirect costs, keep records, and follow the cap, while state agencies must enforce it.
