Stops urban renewal areas from taking school foundation property taxes

Excludes school district foundation property taxes from tax increment financing, so those taxes go to the school district instead. Districts may voluntarily choose to pay some of these taxes to a city's urban renewal fund by resolution, starting in fiscal 2028, without changing state foundation aid.

Official title

A bill for an act relating to the division of revenue of school district foundation property taxes for urban renewal projects, authorizing voluntary payments by school districts, and including applicability provisions.(See SF 2436.)
